Description

South African No 9 Pattern Bayonet and Scabbard. Bayo 138 - Bayo 138

This is a bayonet unique to South Africa and was made, probably by Armscor in the 1960's to fit the No 4 Rifle. They were made using the No 9 type socket and an Uzi blade as South Africa was already using the Uzi Sub Machine Gun. These bayonets were issued to local defence groups known as 'Commandos' who were using the No 4 rifle. The scabbard is the original metal scabbard from the Uzi bayonet but new nylon scabbards were also used. (See Skennerton's book, item 56, page 370). The price includes Uk delivery. Bayo 138
