A Victorian Guards Officer's 18 Ct gold mounted swagger stick made by Swaine Issac & Company, London and stamped on the cane at the top and around the gold mounted top. Swaine & Issac & Co. were whip manufacturers to the Queen and the Royal Family, working from 185 Piccadilly, London circa 1835-circa 1846. This is a very nice varnished swagger stick measuring 25" long. The top is 18ct gold (tested) and has a decorative foliage pattern. It is engraved around the band with "Swaine Issac & Co London" see the close up photographs. The stick is stamped just below the top with "Swaine & Co London". The cane itself has a very nice patina and has a brass mounted tip. The cane is free of any damage. This is a very nice example of a Victorian swagger stick. The price includes UK delivery. Misc 847
