Description

This is a nice Moroccan Arab Nimcha sabre used both in Arab countries and Morocco (see page 469 of Glossary of Construction Decoration & Use Of Arms & Armour By Stone). These sabres were made from captured blades. This original example made C1650 has a wood 'horse head' shaped handle, with earliest known pattern steel ring knuckleguard & drooping quillons. The handle is beautifully inlaid with heavy German Silver fittings. It has a 31" curved blade which has faint German armoury marks of 3 Stars & Crescent Moon which are only partially visible indicating that the sword was made with a captured German blade. Price includes UK delivery. ED 2227
