Victorian, British Pattern 1845 Infantry Officers' Sword With Etched Blade Including Arms Of The City Of Leeds & Scabbard. Sn 10107

This original infantry Officer's Pattern 1845 sword has a 32 1/2" single edged blade with part fuller (38 1/2" overall). The blade is fitted with original hilt washer and beautifully etched on both sides with scrollwork panels and includes stylised Royal Cypher Crown VR (Victoria Regina)together with Arms of the English, Yorkshire, City of Leeds. The ricasso has the ordnance acceptance star and inlaid roundel. The voided brass bowl guard has stylised Royal Cypher & Crown in the centre. It has Brass stepped round pommel with ball end. It's fish skin grip with finger grooves & wire binding is in excellent condition. The sword is complete with it's steel scabbard with 2 hanging rings, hanging bar and large shoe. The scabbard has a large dent towards the shoe end however the sword fits into the scabbard perfectly. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 10107
