It’s serial number is 18380 in a production run of approximately 30500 examples made by Webley & Scott in Birmingham, England from 1929 to 1939. So this is likely from the early to mid 1930’s.
The pistol is in very good overall condition retaining nearly all of its original blueing. The stamping’s are really crisp and detail, on the left side, ‘The Webley Junior .177’ and ‘Patented in Great Britain No 219872 and all principal countries’ also ‘Made in England’ with the serial number stamped on the frame near the trigger. To the right on the cylinder is stamped ‘Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham’
There are a minor few marks to the finish, mainly to the more exposed areas on the frame, but generally the blueing is in very good order
It cocks and fires with no issues.
It comes with its original box which is in good condition and shows the pistols serial number penciled on the lid, which was something that was done in the factory so nicely ties the pistol to the box. The instructions are pasted inside the lid, It is all complete showing some wear to the edges and its also rubbed on the inside of the base where the foresight and rear sight have touched but its in overall good condition. Inside is an opened box of Pre War Bulldog pellets.
A very good example of this now scarce pistol.
