The blueing on this rifle is in very good original condition and is a deep glossy black. There are a few marks to the finish mainly on the barrel near the foresight but overall its in good order. The walnut stock featuring a pleasing ‘tiger stripe’ grain is in good condition to with no splits or cracks. There are marks of usage but its in overall good condition.
The rifle is complete with its rear adjustable sight and fixed foresight. These early models didn’t have the provision for the fitting of a foresight hood so doesn’t therefore have one. This model does not have a scope rail fitted either these were introduced much later in the late 1960’s. It generally accepted that collectors prefer these earlier models and this a great example
The rifle cocks and fires with no issues.
