Made by Webley & Scott in Birmingham between 1958 and 1963.
The pistol is the last variant of the iconic ‘Mark 1’ pistol that started production in the 1920’s and finished in 1963 with the production of the replacement Webley ‘Premier’ model.
This pistol is in very good original condition with most of its original finish present and cocks and fires without issues.
The box for this pistol is the later ‘Birmingham 21’ marked example. This is where the new Webley factory at Park Lane, Handsworth, Birmingham was based from 1958 onward’s. Earlier boxes and pistols were marked with the ‘Birmingham 4’ Weaman Street postal area. The pistol is marked on the right side ‘Birmingham’ earlier models were marked ‘Birmingham 4’
We haven’t seen many of these models as they were only made for a few years. So this is a good collectable and fairly scarce example. It is complete with its correct Component parts price list also marked with the Birmingham 21 Address.
The pistol also comes with a period tin of .22 Webley Special Waisted Pellets.
This is an excellent example of this collectable Webley Air Pistol.
