The pistol is in very good condition throughout with only the odd mark to the blued finish which is generally a deep glossy black. The brown plastic grips are undamaged. The pistol cocks and fires with no issues. A really good example and it also comes with an additional .177 Calibre Barrel.
The case supplied with the pistol is a genuine ‘Rexine’ (Leatherette) case supplied by ‘Webley’ for their Air Pistols at the time, it would also fit a Mark 1 model too. These are very hard to find as they were comparatively expensive and consequently few were sold at the time and very few exist today. It is in good condition overall it shows signs of wear to the baize lining where the pistol has been laid but it is in generally good order for its age.
The Oil bottle supplied is a genuine Webley example manufactured later than when this pistol was first made but was available to purchase as an accessory from Webley & Scott from 1960 onward.
The ‘Special Waisted Pellets’ pellet tins that come with this are sealed and unopened and consist of a .22 x 500 tin and a rare .22 branded tin with 500 x .177 pellets contained within. These .22 tins were used as the .177 tins were in short supply at the time. Webley simply filled them with .177 pellets and placed a ‘.177’ sticker on the lid. These are now very collectable in their own right.
Included also is a Webley ‘Hang Tag’, with warning instructions to the rear, a spare breech seal washer, a cleaning rod and a very rare advertising leaflet detailing this, other pistols and accessories available from Webley at the time and stamped ‘A W Gamages Ltd, Holborn. London’. A W Gamages were a large department store and retailed Webley Products from their Sporting Goods Department, it traded from 1878 to 1972.
This is an excellent example of one of Webley’s most iconic Air Pistols with some very collectable accessories
