A rare British .62 cal Flintlock single barrelled duelling Pistol by John Knubley of London, circa 1786-1793. The lock plate engraved with the makers name Knubley. The 10 inch octagonal barrel engraved Knubley Charing Cross London with a gold lined touch hole. Iron trigger guard and ramrod pipes. Silver oval escutcheon inlaid to the rear of the grip. London proof marks under the barrel. John Knubley was a gun-maker and sword cutler to H R H Prince Of Wales, Duke Of Clarence and Prince Edward. He worked at Charing Cross, London in 1786-1793. Died Feb 1795. Action in good working order. In reasonably good condition overall with a few dings and scratches. Ref 1373. This is an obsolete antique pistol and is sold as a collectors item only.
