E.J. Churchill at The British Shooting Show

Running two of the best shooting grounds in the UK in their North Yorkshire and Buckinghamshire grounds, E.J. Churchill have it all going on. We managed to catch up with the man in charge of running their Gun Room, located near West Wycombe Estates, Rupert Haines.

Q: What are you excited about for the British Shooting Show 2024?

A: I think it's just seeing people all the time. We are a very people-driven business. The shooting industry as a whole and certainly ourselves. The shooting ground is very busy from the corporate side of things, from game shooting to guns. It's people that bring us here and it's nice to see old friends and meet and make new ones.

Q: What are you excited to showcase this year?

A: Our Churchill range of guns. So we've got our Hercules over-and-under, we've got our Crown side-by-side range, we got our new Hellfire rifle that we launched just before Christmas, around November time. It's the whole experience of coming shooting with us, to the products we sell, and even from the point of view of just stopping for a cup of coffee or lunch.

Q: Tell us a bit more about your shooting range. Obviously, you’re demoing a lot of the guns here today. 

A: We are, yeah. We're displaying the guns we've got here and if we sell a gun then wow! That would be amazing, but really it's about actually showing people what we can offer. We've got the Swinton shooting ground in North Yorkshire, we've got the Wickham shooting ground. Two great locations, two different aspects of what we want and where we want shooting to go, and also we want people to know that we don't mind if you just wanna turn up for a shoot and we don't mind if you just wanna turn up for a coffee. We're here for you as shooters. So, very much highlighting that.
