Single barrel 12 Bore muzzle-loading shotgun by Bourne & Son from the mid 19th century. This has at some point been professionally shortened (the muzzle is properly crowned) possibly for use as what was known as a "cripple stopper", a short gun used on shoots for finishing off injured birds. The reason I think this is that there has not been any attempt to add a front sight. I had thought of doing this and making it into a coach-gun but never got around to it.
Condition good though metal has some pitting, it would have had an under barrel rib as there are traces of this, the ramrod is quite short and more for show. Barrel is octagonal to round and quite heavy, lock is strong.
