A WW1 era Officer’s private purchase brown leather holster for the Webley & Enfield MK VI .455" Calibre Service Revolvers. It has a full flap cover with single brass stud which fastens to a retaining strap with eyelet stitched to the body of the holster. It has a large rear belt loop and 2 steel hanging loops. The rear of the holster is stamped several times with a series of letters which are indistinct. There are no other date or maker marks. The inside of the holster and flap are lined with royal blue coloured material. The lining has some fading with age a pistol carry wear but is intact. All leather and stitching are intact.
