~ A British Royal Artillery Officers Sword with Scabbard Circa 1906-14 with a double etched blade by J.R.Gaunt ~
The ricasso is worn but I can make out 'J.R. Gaunt Late Edward Thurtle London Conduit Street' and it is stamped with a serial number of 14508.
The hilt has a half-basket. Both sides of the blade are neatly etched though worn in places, it is nick free.
~ Condition ~
The wire bound grip is in good order, the guard has lost most of its chromed finish. The scabbard has lost most of its leather binding.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade has a length of 35 inches (189cm) with the total sword measuring 41 inches (104cm) long.
