British WD WW1 1916 Cogswell & Harrison London Brass 1" MK III Trench Flare / Signal Pistol. D 1499 - D 1499

An original British WW1 brass 1" MK III Trench flare pistol made by Cogswell & Harrison London. It has its original wooden grips which have chips knocks and bruises to be expected with age and use. It is stamped on the left side of the frame by the maker ‘Cogswell & Harrison London’ together with clear proof inspection marks, War Dept arrow, ’16 (1916 date) and ‘III’ (mark 3 designation). The right side is stamped with serial number '51618'. It has a military lanyard ring & breaks, cocks and dry fires as it should. The price includes UK delivery and deactivation certificate. NB As signal pistol deactivated to UK specification this item does not require a new UK/EU deactivation certificate. D 1499
