Create my profile now!This is a rare INERT unfired WW2 first pattern (H1) hollow charge tracer round for the 7.5 cm leichtes Infanteriegeschütz 18, (7.5cm le IG 18) first introduced 1933 as an infantry close-support weapon. This hollow-charged round was introduced primarily for antitank use. Its penetration was approximately 55 mm at normal, 45 mm at 30°. The steel cartridge case is headstamped at- M over - Click here to reveal phone number - t LE Ig 18 auy . The primer is stamped 1943 C12nASt 2185 wg . The projectiles body is fitted with an iron driving band and retains a wash of its original green colour. There is a white stencil FES above the driving band. It is stamped on its side 2257 rw 41 . The screw on steel nose cap retains approximately half of its original green paint and is stamped 2257 . The AZ38 alloy nose fuse is stamped AZ 38 fmk 1942 4 Waa121 . Inside the projectile is the steel shaped hollow charge cone. The base of the projectile is fitted with a screw in trace. (See Hogg, German Artillery of WW2 pages 18 -21 and page 47).
