INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an extremely rare unfired 1 inch (25.4 x 55R) Bennet inside primed, centre fire round for the American Gatling gun invented by Richard J. Gatling in 1862. The round consists of a drawn copper cartridge case which has a Bennett inside primer is inserted into the case and crimped in by two long external stab crimps into the bottom of the copper cartridge case. There is no headstamp on the base of the cartridge case which is normal. The solid lead healed bullet has two cannelures. This is a very rare round and no licence is required to possess this inert round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. The price includes UK delivery. O 1418£325.00
