An original WW2 type LKpN101 Luftwaffe pilot's leather helmet wired for comms. These helmets were one of the most popular Luftwaffe helmets of the war, having a mesh crown, sheepskin lined ear pieces and no chinstrap they were very comfortable to wear (see page 26 of Luftwaffe Vs RAF by Prodger). This original LKpN-101tropical flying helmet is wired for communication. The mesh of the helmet has areas of service wear / damage but does not detract from the piece. It has the correct oxygen mask lugs & correct mesh crown, leather trim, ear pads with ear phones and clean label with clear detail. Interestingly the label has the designation ‘LKpS-101’ however that model of helmet was constructed of cloth not mesh, it is most likely that this helmet was designated incorrectly during WW2 production at the factory (illustrated in image 2). The helmet is wired with bakelite throat mic and bakelite jack marked with model designation and Nazi manufacturer codes (illustrated in image 2). The display head illustrated in the images is not included. The Price for this WW2 Fighter Pilot's set includes UK delivery. Sn 15339:7
