Northamptonshire Police can trace its earliest roots to 1840 when the Northamptonshire Constabulary and Daventry Constabulary were formed. This is a very good, male Constable's / Sergeant's helmet of the Northamptonshire Constabulary. It has a navy blue 6 panel body, blackened rose boss and a Northamptonshire Constabulary King’s Crown blackened metal helmet night plate. The inside has a leather sweat band and leather chin strap. The sweatband is ink stamped with size "6 7/8". There is also contemporary hand written number ‘44’ no doubt the collar number of the Police officer who owned the helmet. Price includes UK delivery.
