This is a great example of the well known Indian Brunswick two grove percussion rifle which saw a varied use thought the British Empire.
It was also used in the American Civil War in 1861. It was replaced with the early variants of the Lee Enfield's such as the 1851 Lee Enfield.
*Condition*
The rifle and the bayonet is in good condition with little pitting on the rifle. The bayonet has a floral decoration that engulfs the handle which is in excellent condition.
The rifle rode can be taken out and could be partially stripped if wished. The bayonet can be attached (not shown as our photo booth is not big enough for this).
