This is a Rare INERT unfired WW2 German Kriegsmarine U-Boat German 20mm Flak 38 APHEI/T (Armour Piercing High Explosive Incendiary Trace) round for the Soluthern 20mm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun. This gun was often in the Quad Vierling 38 mount on the Bandstand of operational U Boats, used as the main anti-aircraft weapon. The lacquered steel cartridge case is percussion primed and retains most of the original lacquer. The headstamp is rrm (obscured waffenampt stamp?) 45 9 .The projectile is a APHEI/T (Armour Piercing High Explosive Incendiary Trace) iron driving banded projectile and is stamped above the driving band ctu 253/ 44. It retains approximately 90% or the original yellow, blue and green paint. The projectile is stencilled In black round its circumference kc 9/45 waffenampt. The cartridge charge bag is also included and is stencilled nnk (2cm 1945?). Both projectile and cartridge case have no cracks in the necks. Price includes UK delivery. O 1579
