Create my profile now!A good quality English Flintlock Boxlock pistol with a screw-off barrel. Circa 1821. The side-plate engraved MABSON & LABRON, stand of arms engraving on the other side. Mabson & Labron had a work shop in Birmingham circa 1821. Flat sided walnut butt. Screw-off 1.75 inch steel barrel, British proof marks to the underside of the frame. This is the type of small pistol that would have been carried in a pocket or a saddle bag during the 18-19th century by a gentleman, traveller, or officer as a personal protection weapon. In good working order and condition. Overall length 6.5 inches. Ref 1358.
