The lock-plate engraved W. H. WILSON. Circa 1760-1800. The makers name W. H. WILSON also engraved on top of the barrel. The 6 inch iron barrel mounted underneath with a swivel steel captive rammer. Swan necked cock and roller frizzen spring. Engraved trigger guard and sliding safety fitted to rear of cock. Finely chequered wooden grips with an oval silver escutcheon to the rear. Overall length 12 inches. Some minor wear and minor pitting to metalwork, otherwise in quite reasonable condition overall. Ref 1582.
