Largest selection of genuine antique weapons for sale in UK. See our website andrewbottomley.com. Ref 1627. A rare Military Flintlock Musket of the type carried at the battle of Waterloo as well as during the American Revolutionary war. These and similar muskets were mostly manufactured around the time of the U. S. Revolutionary war (1775-1783) and the Napoleonic wars (1803-1815). This example is unmarked. It has 4 brass ramrod pipes and typical military brass fittings throughout. It has no manufacturer's marks but we believe it to be either American or British and manufactured probably circa 1760-1800. One feature of this interesting military musket that maybe points to it being U. S. made is the shield shaped escutcheon fitted to the stock. Good untouched condition. It is complete with a steel ramrod. Some minor wear and small repair to wood at the heel of butt, but a nice honest example. Barrel length 41 inches. Calibre approx .73. Overall length 57 inches. Ref 1627. This is an obsolete antique item and is sold as a collectors item only. No Licence is required in the United Kingdom.
