A very fine authentic 18th century Indian gold inlaid Katar dagger, the two bar hilt inlaid with much gold decoration. The Katar is one of the oldest and most characteristic of the traditional Indian knife weapons. The blade length approx 7 inches. Overall length 12.5 inches. In very good condition with almost all the gold decoration still intact. The gold decoration approx 95% intact. Probably 18th century. Ref 3233.
