Finely chequered walnut grips fitted with a sliding top safely. Drop down folding trigger, barrels both screw off. British proof marks stamped to side of breech and on each barrel. Good condition and in working order. The barrels retaining much original blued finish. The side-plate engraved EGAN BRADFORD. William Egan had a workshop in Hustlergate, Bradford Yorkshire, during the years 1829-1857. Overall length 6.5 inches. A very nice example of the type of double barrel pistol carried for personal protection during the 19th century. Ref 3590.
