A rare Napoleonic period two Barrelled Tap Action Flintlock Pistol by Styan. Circa 1803-1811. Engraved on the side plate the gunmakers name Styan and the other side plate the stand of arms. Thomas Styan had a workshop at Broome Street, Manchester circa 1803-1811. Drop down folding trigger guard. Two screw off 2 inch barrels. Stamped underneath the breech with British proof marks. Slab sided walnut grip. Action in good working order. Showing little signs of wear during it's working life mostly in overall good condition. Overall length 8 inches. Ref 3936.
