The text on the blade says "Hubertus Solingen"
The handle appears to be made from a piece of antler, and there is a metal lion's head pommel on the top of the handle
The brown leather sheath features an embossed Boy Scouts logo and an embossed illustration of a Native American, and includes a belt loop
The Boy Scouts logo on the sheath is reversed - the text below it is mirror-imaged and says "BOY SCOUTS"
The total weight is 149g (the knife weighs 126g and the sheath weighs 23g)
The total length of the sheathed knife is 24cm (the sheath is 23cm long and 4cm wide)
The knife is 22.5cm long and just under 5cm wide at its widest
As shown in the photo, "John Catt" is written on the handle in what appears to be green ink, and "JHC" is written on the rear of the sheath
The knife is in good condition, undamaged and all of the parts are firmly attached
The blade would benefit from being properly cleaned and sharpened
The sheath is in good condition with minor wear and tear
The knife belonged to my late uncle and was probably made in the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s
For the last 40+ years it has been wrapped in a cloth bag and stored in a cupboard in a smoke-free pet-free home
It can be collected from Roehampton London SW15, or we can arrange for it to be posted to you using a service of your choice (NB the selling price does not include postage)
