Here we have a very rare, very emotive and interesting artefact. What we have here is an identification star of a Jewish resident of the Third Reich, these were attached to buildings where Jews lived, worked and socialised.
The star is a very basic iron or steel Star of David with the phrase ‘JUDEN HIER’ on the front and two holes where it would have been affixed to a structure.
This piece was originally from Poland but like many items like this bears no manufacturers mark.
~ Dimensions ~
The star is 5 inches (12.5 cm) in diameter.
The star weighs 45g.
~ Condition ~
The star has some surface rust and one hole due to corrosion where the black treatment has worn off.
~ Postage ~
UK postage is £10, international £12.
