This is a Rare INERT unfired Prewar German Boat German 20mm Flak 38 HE (High Explosive) round for the Soluthern 20mm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun . This gun was used singularly or in the Quad Vierling 38 mount as a anti-aircraft weapon. The brass cartridge case is percussion primed and retains most of the original lacquer. The headstamp is P over 345 waffenampt stamp WaA73 38 381.The projectile is a HE (High Explosive) copper driving banded projectile and is stamped above the driving band P270 11 40 Waffenampt 218 W . The projectile retains approximately 95% of its the original yellow paint. The projectile is stencilled in black P154 39a 40W waffenampt 194 over 121g .The alloy nose fuse is stamped AZ5045 RhS.386 1939 272d WaA596 . Both projectile and cartridge case have no cracks.
