(Enfield). The production figures for 1911 were only 32,706 at ‘Enfield’, but the bayonet was also made in large quantities by ‘Wilkinsons’ and others. In ‘1913’ it was decided to remove the quillon and all further bayonets were made without the quillon and those that came in for refurbishment had it removed, (see Skennerton item B234 & B235 PAGES 186-195). The other side of the blade has a broad arrow and several inspection stamps. The grips are wood, held on by two screwbolts, and are in near mint condition. The scabbard is the ‘No1 MkII’ which is showing signs of service related wear with a round frog stud. The price includes U.K. delivery. BAYO 907.
