Create my profile now! This is a nice English flintlock pocket pistol made C1810. The pistol is 7 ¼” overall with 2 ½” 54 bore turn off barrel barrel. The smoothbore has just staining to be expected with age. The left side of the action is engraved with the maker's name 'Wallis' within Martial banners (most likely George & John Wallis were English Gunmakers with premises at Mytongate, Hull, Yorkshire between 1804 & 1822). The right side has matching banners with void oval. The rear of the action has a sliding safety bolt. The underside of the action has English proofs. The trigger guard is decorated with a flower head design. It has a bag shaped wood grip. The hammer is fitted with flint. The pistol's cocking and firing mechanisms work crisply. The price includes UK delivery. NB As an antique flintlock pistol no licence is required to own this item in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display. Sn 18993:1
