Description
Excellent condition SMLE No 1 Mk V in .303 caliber. This rare trials gun was built in the first year of manufacture 1922 serial number 1133 and only around 20,000 were ever built. Designed to be an improvement on the No 1 Mk 111 after WW1 they were never put into full production. All correct features including the cut off plate, rear flip up sight, correct safety catch and front band providing extra support to the front cap. The bore is good with strong rifling.
