INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a rare German WW2 Long Fin, I.B.S.E.N Incendiary bomb (see page 163 of ‘The Blitz Then & Now’ Edited By Ramsey). The bombs were made of a magnesium alloy casing and had a steel explosive nose. The bomb including fins is 20 ½” overall length. The fin assembly is of three pressed steel fins with a reinforcing ring at the tip of the tail. The fins have some stable corrosion to be expected but are totally secure. The casing is marked ‘389
