Create my profile now!John Richards was a Birmingham Gunmaker who is recorded on page 49 of Bailey & Nie's book 'English Gunmakers' as having premises at 17 Colemore Street, Birmingham in 1769. This is a best quality Percussion Duelling Pistol (Converted From Flintlock) By John Richards. It is 15 1/2" overall with a 10" round steel barrel which is .65" Bore. The smoothbore is clean with no pitting. It has a stepped steel side plate with scroll engraving & dolphin hammer. The side plate is engraved 'John Richards'. It has a 'V' notch rear sight and bead foresight. It has a walnut full stock with chequered grip together with Hallmarked rounded Silver butt & stock mounts including trigger guard with extended tang & engraved pineapple finial. The English Hallmarks date to 1797. The neck of the stock is inlaid with a void Silver disc. It is complete with it's steel tipped wood ramrod and Silver ram rod retaining mounts. It's action works as it should. The metal and wood of the pistol have no damage. The price includes UK delivery.
