This is a great example of the WW2, 2nd Pattern, Officer's Fairburn Sykes fighting knife. It has a knurled nickel plated handle and retains most of it's original nickel plating. It is complete with original WW2 Pattern leather scabbard with blued chape (see page 81 plate 184 of Flooks' book). The scabbard has it's 4 sew on tabs and a single elastic retaining strap.
