A large Victorian era American combat / survival Bowie knife and leather scabbard based on a 'Collins' knife. This is a large unusual American combat / survival Bowie Knife which has a compressed leather washer grip. The base of the grip and pommel are nonferrous cast metal. The pommel screws off. It has a large 12" blade, 2" wide at its widest point and 17" overall with falchion style tip and twin narrow fullers. The blade is stamped with "R.A. Bone Cast Steel" and a large Lion trade mark. It has a brass straight crossguard. It is in a hand tooled brown leather scabbard. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 13828.
