A deactivated Mosin Nagant M91/30 manufactured at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1942, one of the most significant years of Soviet wartime production. The Izhevsk arsenal mark — the arrow within a triangle — confirms the rifle's origin, and the 1942 date places manufacture squarely within the heaviest period of fighting on the Eastern Front. The Chinese arsenal stamp on the stock records a second chapter of service: large quantities of Soviet-manufactured Mosin Nagants were transferred to the People's Republic of China as military aid during the early Cold War period and stamped by Chinese arsenals upon issue or refurbishment, giving this rifle a documented two-nation service history.

The M91/30 was the standard Soviet infantry rifle of the Second World War, chambered in 7.62x54mmR with a five-round internal magazine and a 29-inch barrel. Designed originally in 1891 and modernised for the 1930 specification, it served as the primary arm of Soviet forces through the war's most decisive campaigns. Presented here in deactivated condition with the original canvas and leather sling and accompanied by its deactivation certificate. A solid piece of twentieth-century military history with readable provenance from two of the major powers of the Cold War era.
