Patent dates engraved on top of the breech. The 4 inch octagonal barrel retaining much of it's original blue and engraved "CONNECTICUT ARMS & MANF'G. CO. NAUBUC CONN. The breech-block pivots to one side for loading. Fine chequered grips. Nice crisp action and a strong spring. Overall length approx 8 inches. In good condition retaining much of it's original blueing. These pistols are infamous because one was owned by 'Big Nose Kate' the prostitute partner of Doc Haliday. After they went their separate ways, she was found with one of these in her luggage and had the gun taken away from her, then was shot and killed with it. Ref 3505.
