It measures 13 ¾” overall and has a 9" octagonal brown wash barrel with bead fore sight and ‘v’ notch plate fixed rear sight. The smooth bore has light staining and residue consistent with age & use. The top of the brown wash octagonal barrel is engraved ‘London'. It has a stepped lock, swan neck hammer fitted with flint, brass trigger guard with extended tang and pineapple finial, brass butt cap and brass ramrod mounts. The lock plate is nicely engraved 'Tomlinson'. It has a dark walnut full stock. The top of the stock’s wrist is inlaid with a void German silver escutcheon. The pistol has a wooden ramrod. Its cocking and firing action work crisply. The metal and wood of the pistol have no damage. The price for this pistol worthy of further research includes UK delivery. NB As an antique flintlock pistol no licence is required to own this item in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display. A 1098
