A .451” WESTLEY RICHARDS CAPPING BREECH LOADING MILITARY MATCH RIFLE, 33” barrel rifled

with W. Richards octagonal rifling, fitted with ladder sight, the lock stamped with the makers name

to the centre “WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO” and dated 1873 in a triangle, iron mounted full walnut

stock with two-barrel bands. Monkey tail rifles are quite scarce, this example in very good

condition, with good stock, small repair to woodwork around barrel key, barrel to a blue grey patina.
