An excellent WW1 British Military telescope with 2 eye pieces and brown leather cases. This 3 draw MK IV telescope was made in 1917 by R & J Beck Ltd London. It also has its own separate brown leather case and straps for one of the eyepieces. The telescope is made of leather covered brass and is nicely stamped with the manufacturer's name, 1917 date, model detail and WD arrow (illustrated). The scope when open measures 31 ½”. It is complete with leather end caps and carry strap with adjustable buckles. All optics of the telescope and spare eyepiece are excellent and function as they should. The scope comes with an original WW1 period British WD Sniper Spotter’s Stand No 21 MK V Brass & Wood Tri-Pod. The wood legs have conical steel spiked feet. The brass clamp mount with wingnut has model and maker detail (illustrated in the images). The tripod is 15 ½” overall length.
