This is an original WW2, Thompson M1 SMG. It is a good example and its original wood stock, pistol grip and fore stock are all undamaged as is its metal work with original finish. It has a steel butt plate with hinged trap. The weapon is crisply stamped 'Auto -Ordnance Corporation, Bridgeport, Connecticut, U.S.A. on the right side of the frame and 'Thompson Submachine Gun, Caliber .45 M1 No. 181796’ on the left side of the frame. The top of the frame is stamped with the Thompson name and legend. The magazine is marked with Auto Ordnance Corp name and USA address. It has fixed combat sights & sling swivels. Originally deactivated to early UK specification in 1991, this Thompson was sent back to the proof house into 2018 & brought up to EU deactivation specification.
