~ Royal Tank Regiment Officers Dress Sword With Black Leather Acorn Dress Knot ~
A Royal Tank Regiment officers named presentation dress sword with black leather acorn dress knot in its plated steel scabbard.
A finely etched blade with the RTR badge and the initials: J.R.W.G. 17. 12. 64. (Lt Col. John Richard Welbeck Greaves). Makers mark to the ricasso of a squirrel for Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. Having Queen Elizabeth II Royal cipher to the knuckle guard and etched on the blade.
The pommel is a simple round pin design going in to a fish skin sword back and a basket shaped guard.
The fish skin grip comes with metal wiring. To the underside of the basket you can find marked `Crown over ERII`.

The total length is 40 inches (102cm) long,
The blade is 32 inches (81cm) long.
The sword weighs 1.34Kg.
~ Condition ~
The sword is complete with its scabbard and two suspension rings.
The blade is fine but with some scratches.
The scabbard is in fair condition with some amount of scratches and surface patina.
