This is an excellent 1920's Webley Mark 1 5th Series, .177 Calibre Air Pistol (See page 26 of Bruce's book Webley Air Pistols). It has excellent undamaged metal work with 95% of its original finish and walnut un-chequered wood grips with inlaid Webley 'winged bullet' roundel correctly on one grip which only have slight age related marks. It has the correct Cone-head trigger adjuster for the series added after serial number 26500. The left side of the frame is stamped serial number ' 35631’ and with the 'Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham & London and the barrel with Patents. The right side is marked ‘Webley Air Pistol- Made in England’ and Patent marks. It has an adjustable rear sight & barrel strap. The left side above the trigger has the correct safety catch feature.
