This is an Inter war dated Mosin Nagant Rifle. These rifles were used by Russian troops during WW2. It has excellent undamaged metal work and all original wood furniture. The Breech housing is crisply stamped with Russian Script, Arsenal marks and 1926 date. The weapon has its original adjustable rear sight, block & blade fore sight, steel butt plate and is fitted with original webbing & leather sling. The sling has soviet ink markings (illustrated). The rifle’s breech is numbered 59985 and it has other un-matching numbers. The rifle is accompanied by an original Mosin Nagant socket bayonet which has a sprung socket catch. The bayonet has a 17” cruciform blade and correct chisel tip (19 ¾” overall length). The socket is stamped with number 1513. The bayonet fits the rifle correctly. Deactivated to UK specification in 2002 the weapon cocks and dry fires and its hinged magazine cover opens.
