Introduced in the middle of 2000 the ‘Xocet’ was the replacement for the Webley Excel, and unlike the Sport and Nimbus was a Webley-made-product. It was made in two formats – standard and carbine, and in both calibres. It was advertised in the 2001 anniversary catalogue , where it was described as a ‘High-Tech’ successor to the Excel. The Xocet is ambidextrous, having a cheek piece either side of the stock. It has a two stage trigger and a shrouded front sight. This example is fitted with a AGS 3-9x40 Scope. The left hand side is marked ‘WEBLEY XOCET’ to the cylinder and ‘Webley & Scott TR HT - Click here to reveal phone number - 177-4.5 CAL’ to the end of the barrel. The Beech stock is in very good condition with only minor signs of use related wear. The metalwork is very good *slight 1cm scratch on the underside of the barrel. The telescopic lens has the off rub to its finish but nothing major. See page 169 of Webley Air Rifles 1925-2005 by Christopher Thrale. The rifle fires at a very respectable 11.53 ft/lb and the loading and firing actions work perfectly. The price includes UK delivery.
