This is an excellent, original, WW2 1943 dated German Mauser K98 infantry Rifle. It has a block and blade fore sight, an adjustable rear sight and is complete with bayonet bar & steel butt plate. It has all original laminated wood stock and is fitted with forward sling bar. The stock is slotted for sling anchor and it is fitted with a leather sling. The barrel shank is crisply date stamped '43'(1943) and with the Nazi German Wartime secret manufacturer code 'dou' which is Waffenwerke Bruenn, Bystrica, in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia. The rifle is serial number 1105 and has other un-matching numbers. The metal work has Waffenamt and Heer acceptance marks. Deactivated to UK specification in 2016 the weapon cocks and dry fires.
