The receiver was used during for example the D-Day landings, but also by resistance groups. The device is powered by a battery pack and uses the helmet as its antenna. It was originally developed for the U.S Navy and was probably intended for the reception of instructions during beach landings. As such, both the receiver and the battery case were originally water tight, and all accessories are cast in rubber. The two cases themselves are made from Bakelite. The skull cap is in very good condition with all stitching intact. The carry bag has a few holes to the canvas, but the strap and metalwork are all intact. GVH-10203 is stamped to the rear. The instruction manual is in good order, with fold out diagrams and no loose or missing pages. The price includes UK delivery. 20594.
